Yesterday, my mum sent me a screen shot of the quote above and I thought, yes, maybe I should try to fill blank pages again. In the context of the quote, I’m sure Brad didn’t mean it so literally. In the context of me, I do long to fill blank pages and write but without muse it seems I am nothing.This blog faltered when my gorgeous children of 8 and 6 told me they no longer wished to be on the internet (school had been informing them of their rights and I couldn’t in all consciousness disagree) they were at that time, the centre of my universe. I tried a few times to keep writing here and just floundered. Mainly I think as I had so little else to talk about.At 19 and 17, they still are a prominent part of my life of course. Both still at home and coming to the end of their “school career” the challenges are different, the ultimate responsibility for their choices is not mine. I’m guiding, assisting, enabling and swearing when they don’t do their chores!This life of mine, though, has changed so much, I have other prominent parts that are demanding and sometimes all consuming. It often feels like I live in many different boxes.Where I was a full time mum, I’m now a full time P.A, a job that some might argue, is not dissimilar to wrangling toddlers. Where I was the mother of his children, the hubster and I are trying to find our path as a couple once more. With their independence, should come ours. (And free pet sitting).It’s 20 years since we discovered we were pregnant. We had been together 9 years, so a firm foundation? We were different people back then. Who are we now?I’d like to ramble on a bit occasionally, I miss writing, I’ve had other blogs, so when I saw mum’s screenshot of the quote, my first thought was “start another blog!” Slowly, the thought occurred, that no, I should not start another blog, if I’ve got anything to say, it can go here. I don’t need to start afresh, rather just carry on (or crash and burn like every other time I’ve tried 🤣)so, yes mum, 365 blank days stretch out in front of us. Each day will be filled and maybe some will be remarked on! Time will tell.",
