I\r\n                started this site after a horrible moving experience I had\r\n                trying to use a U-HAUL truck to move from Vermont to New Jersey in the fall of\r\n                2003.Subsequent to my horror story, I discovered that I am \r\n\t\t\t\tnot alone; U-Haul does this to many people all over the country \r\n\t\t\t\tevery single day.  Just do a web search for \"U-Haul Sucks\" \r\n\t\t\t\tand you will find endless pages all describing similar stories.Los Angeles \r\n\t\t\t\tTimes Investigates U-Haul in 3-Part Series:Driving with rented risks(Los Angeles Times June 24, 2007)In the first part, the Times investigation finds the \r\n\t\t\t\t\tcompany’s practices raise the risk of accidents on the road.Upkeep lags in U-Haul’s aging fleet(Los Angeles Times June 25, 2007)In the second part, the Times found many trucks have high \r\n\t\t\t\t\tmileage and safety checks were often overdue; customers \r\n\t\t\t\t\tdescribe breakdowns and accidents.Key trial evidence goes missing(Los Angeles Times June 26, 2007)Injured customers suing U-Haul over accidents have sought \r\n\t\t\t\t\tkey equipment, only to find it lost or discarded.Inside Edition Investigates U-Haul \r\n\t\t\t\t\tTrailer Safety in NJ:If you found this site because you recently had a bad\r\n                experience with a U-Haul truck or trailer, then here is some\r\n                information that may help you:\r\n                U-Haul was founded by, and is currently managed by the \r\n\t\t\t\tShoen\r\n                family.  The Shoen's are \r\n\t\t\t\tcompletely\r\n                dysfunctional, as is the entire U-Haul organization. \r\n                U-Haul is operated by AMERCO.\r\n                Did you make a \"reservation\" with U-Haul only to\r\n                find that they didn't have your truck or trailer waiting when\r\n                you arrived?  This is probably the most common\r\n                complaint with U-Haul.  All I can say is that the term\r\n                \"reservation\" should be used loosely when dealing with\r\n                U-Haul.  They do not actually have reservations, they just\r\n                lie to you.Did you rent a U-Haul truck or trailer that was\r\n                in poor condition, and/or it broke down on the road, or worse,\r\n                did your U-Haul rental cause an accident?  This is the\r\n                second most common U-Haul complaint.  U-Haul is usually the\r\n                least expensive option for do-it-yourself moving because their\r\n                trucks and trailers are poorly maintained.  \r\n\t\t\t\tIn fact, DO\r\n                NOT EVER RENT A U-HAUL TRUCK/TRAILER FOR A ONE-WAY RENTAL. \r\n                The one-way rentals are the most poorly maintained.  This\r\n                is because the dealer that rents the item to you is likely\r\n                never to see that rental item ever again.  \r\n\t\t\t\tWhy would a\r\n                dealer invest any money in a truck that winds up at someone\r\n                else's U-Haul somewhere else in the country?  All dealers\r\n                are independent entities, and there's no reimbursement for\r\n                repairs to a vehicle they send on a one-way trip.  \r\n\t\t\t\tThis\r\n                makes for a very dangerous rental situation.  The only one\r\n                who loses out in this scenario is YOU.See what U-Haul did to me\r\n                one day . . .",
